10:00am - 11:00am Reiki in the Park
with Denise Carpenter of Reiki Associates and Lotus Wings
Come experience Reiki in the Park. A loch of Reiki practitioners from Lotus Wings would like to bathe you with the experience of Reiki energy flow. Four tables are available to immerse you. As well, Denise will be available to quench your thirst for Reiki answers.
11:00am - 12:00pm Awareness Through Movement®, Finding your Flow
with Christine Graves
Flow. Feel it in your posture, walking and balance by finding the skeleton and the ease in your structure. We will use an Awareness Through Movement® lesson from the Feldenkrais Method. Bring a mat or towel to lay on and comfortable clothing.
12:00pm - 1:00pm Nia - Fun-Fitness-Fusion
with Susan Bennet
Nia is a revolutionary fitness system that replaces the idea of punishment with pleasure. Dance, healing, and martial arts melt together. "OSHUN" (Ocean) - in this Classic Nia routine, the energy of movement and the energy of stillness support each other, like ocean waves, to condition the nervous system!
1:00pm - 2:00pm Taoist Tai Chi
The ancient Taoists were renowned for their study of the arts of health and longevity. The gentle movements of Taoist Tai Chi convey the essence of this tradition. Come experience a class and discover a genuine path for health and tranquility. We also have a new space in Perth at 205 Gore Street East.
2:00pm - 3:00pm Water on the Inner Landscape
with Bonita Ford
In nature, water is a vital resource; in our personal lives, water offers metaphors for how we live. Is our inner landscape lush like a rainforest or parched like a desert? Are we flowing like a river or crashing like a tsunami? Through movement and guided imagery, we'll play and relax, cultivating greater harmony and vitality.
3:00pm - 4:00pm Celebrate the River with Crystal Singing Bowls
with Pamela Holm
Introducing Crystal Singing Bowls to the festival, music therapist Pamela Holm guides our journey through our inner river in a musical improvisation with sounds of life along a river bank. Come with imaginations and a sense of adventure to try out these new instruments to create a peaceful, relaxing watery sound picnic. Suitable for all ages.
4:00pm - 5:00pm Dance Fusion - African/Hip Hop
with Alize Abele
This workshop will integrate traditional movements from the Lamban of Mali and KouKou from Guinea. Participants will learn traditional movements with a hip hop twist! So if you're interested in making your body move, come on out and give it a try! Everyone is welcome!
5:00pm - 6:00pm Waterfront Yoga
with Jill Dunkley from The Yoga Connection
Come join Jill Dunkley and warm up for your evening of festival dancing by bringing mind, body and breath into balance through yoga. No prior yoga experience necessary. BYO water and mat or blanket.
