Would you like to join the Festival Crew?

Each year our Festival benefits form the efforts of around 150 volunteers. It is easy to estimate that more that 1000 volunteer hours are dedicated to making the Stewart Park Music Festival happen, a real community effort. We are starting to gear up for the 17^th annual Stewart Park Music Festival on July 18, 19 and 20, 2008. Each year we ask the volunteers to do at least two (more if you are so inclined) 3 hour shifts, in order to earn their brilliant "Festival Crew T-shirt".

We need people to work at the entrances to the park welcoming our guests, encouraging them to make a donation and providing Festival Programs. Anyone with retail experience (or not) is welcome to work at the Souvenir, Information and CD Booth selling our wares, our CD's and dispensing wisdom to all that ask for it. We require several volunteers to work backstage. Some will be looking after the refreshments for all the performers and volunteers. Others are required to help with handling the musical equipment. We need lots of people to help out with the children's activities as well. Finally, we are looking for night life enthusiasts to work at the door of an After Hours Venue selling Buttons.

Do you know anyone you would like to work a shift or two with? It is always great to work with someone you know, but don't hesitate to come volunteer yourself because everyone involved with the festival is really friendly.

*Volunteers please note: As usual we will be holding a volunteer training and sign up session on Tuesday July 15th at 7:00 p.m. This year it will be held inside Town Hall.
